    vertex problem

Its been quite a while since i turned a pen so thought I'd have a go at some I've had for a fair bit. Vertex click pencil, turned smashin, assembly was another matter:sob::sob::sob:, tried to press the tip nut which is ribbed... far too tight bellied the brass out and smashed the blank. Be...

To tip or not to tip

Finished the lorry today made from tulip wood and mahogany. This is just a toy for a young great grandson so it was a decision as to whether to make the body tip so I decided to have it fixed when he is a little older then I can make one with some working parts. I have used chestnut products...

    Angle and minors

And you all thought I was hibanating. I don't like copying people as I stated elsewhere but had to make these from the woodturner magazine last year by Colwyn Way. The angles are 17" to the tip of the wings and the minors are 13" to the tip of the Yellow feather.

I have many cutoffs so I used 2pcs here. I concealed the joint (2nd one up from the tip) with turned rings.

    Click Bullet Pen Assembly

I am trying to put together some click bullet pens but just cannot follow the short instructions that are on some sites. Has anyone else had a problem with these. It is driving me batty. Line up the pen parts according to DIAGRAM C. •Insert the clip assembly into the barrel, press in. •Insert...

    HSS chisels versus Carbide tips

I would like to say at the outset i am not here to wind people up. I know most of you are diehard wood turners. I use a small round carbide tip on a home made handle (oak) and 5/16 round SS rod. The carbide tip has zero rake and i use it to basically knock off the edges of the blank. As it...
