    Very Punny

The fattest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from too much pi. I thought I saw an eye doctor on an Alaskan island, but it turned out to be an optical Aleutian . She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still. A rubber band pistol was...

    Workshop Evolving

Decided to make a spice rack today but not for spices :thinks: Its NOT done yet as the banding is only fitted until the acrylic sheet arrives. But its fitted to the wall now and I don't have to rummage through the cupboard for colours anymore :banana::banana::banana:

    White and Red

Hi All, thank you for all the comments recently. I have tried to incorporate your advise including tapered section and insert threads into this pen. I wanted to add a red band around the section but ran out of red blanks, trying and failing to cut very thin thread against a thin wall so had...

    Lightweight!

After making so many fruit bowls recently, I fancied a change. This Horse Chestnut bowl is 10" x 3 1/4" and weighs just under 5 Ounces (141g). Wall thickness is about 1/8" (3mm) and it flexes when you pick it up! Finish is Danish Oil.

    Perspex

Has anyone turned perspective rod? I would like to mock up a kitless in coloured translucent perspex (which I believe is basically acrylic) so I can clearly see how much wall thickness and space I have internally. Will this turn / thread well?

    Bowl done a wobbly

I was turning a piece of Rowan that has a fair amount of rot in it, it also has some small cracks as well. I 'treated' the rot and cracks to three sessions of CA and left it to go off. While it was mounted on the chuck screw and only the outside finished, it ran true. I swapped it round and held...

    Too late to worry now.

Too late to worry now. And the penalty for “Treason” is..?. from Larry Pickering. When our feminists ignore the genital mutilation, oppression of women, rape of little children of both sexes, we have a problem. When our Politicians condemn an elected member of the Dutch Parliament for...
