Hi All,
Well that didn't go too well did it!!
This was a piece of Yew from HMS Victory, I new as cross cut it would be difficult, but not this bad...oh well some you win others shatter and send bits to the four corners of the workshop...

Hi Mark, as you know I turn a lot of xcut blanks and I always come in from the ends of the blank to the middle. This greatly reduces the chance of losing the ends of your blank. Good luck mate.
