Made a, wee yew bowl then set up for tomorrow with a lump of Elm burr that is to big for the tooling I have now thats the trouble with downsizing your lathe lol the wood is 15” long so had to turn the headstock and now the tool rest won’t reach the end so I have to turn it in revers watch this space tomorrow lol

Looks good thus far . I assume you balance the bit first ( or have several very heavy mates sit on the lathe bed ?

Like the square edge bowl. Turned square or did you balance with sacrificial edges for safety ?

No balancing just run the lathe slower lol
