Hi All,
I used to see pen turning as the gateway to the general turning side of the hobby where you take a lump of tree and turn it into a bowl, vase, candlestick or whatever, I wasn't aware pen turning could be so skilled and addictive.
It took me several years to have a go a kit pen, but I'm now well into modding kits and about to go kittless.

Welcome and enjoy the diversion. Be warned though it’s a long, expensive and addictive path to satisfaction / frustration , your choice of phrase 😉😜

Your shear scraping technique from bowl turning can be very, very useful delicately applied to pens
