Hi all as you know I’m in the process of trying some pipe turning. So a turning buddy of mine in the states has shared with me how he holds the pipe bowl in his standard wood lathe four jaw chuck. I’m intrigued by this method and am also wondering about other uses this may have? Anyways thought I’d share just for interest sake.
I suppose it’s a bit like the Coles jaws?

Spoons, scoops and ladles. You're only limited by the distance to the bed. I suppose it could hold small ball or egg shaped boxes to finish off the bottoms that Cole jaws wouldn't grip as well. What is the rubber? Automotive heater hose or pipe insulation or?

Automotive tubing I believe 👍
It’d be limited only by the length of the M6 screws ( I’ve a nova chuck).
