I have been looking for a piece of ironwood the make a mallet. Where i live (North Hampshire) there is not a lot around.
My daughter recently move to Kent, It's quite a big house with a big open fire, logs all stacked up at the side, look really good. My son was staying there as well and he was looking at the logs, he turned to me and said "here's what you want" it was a piece of Ironwood about 5in diameter and about 12in long. Well that went straight in my car, went back and had another look around and found another piece, acquired that as well lol.
Looking forward to turning it.
