I am an 86 yo pensioner living on Queensland's Gold Coast and I have made many pens in wood, acrylic, resin and Corian. We are fortunate to have access to lots of different types of timber but I am yet to decide which is my favourite. Pens are such an acceptable gift and not really expensive with an infinite variety of shapes limited only by your imagination or following the penturner's forum.

Welcome to the forum mate,

Hello Norm and welcome

Youre spoilt for choice with timbers and burrs there mate! Nearly made me cry when we did the coast road seeing the piles of burr up as fire wood but Quantas were very insistent on weight limits !

Ive not got your years of experience yet but hope to get there !
