Before I moved house, in my old workshop I used the top of a chest freezer as my pen assembly bench, and I lost count over the years of the number of springs and occasionally other components that had pinged or fallen off and disappeared under the freezer.

When I moved, I was looking forward to recovering a sizeable haul of pen parts once the freezer had been taken away.

I found not a single one.

Weird!

I did exactly the same. I had to move my metal lathe the other day in order to get to the back of it. I decided to move the bench itā€™s on while I was at it as I was sure there was a load of stuff down there. But nothing apart from shavings. Itā€™s just so odd.
Meanwhile the face on my Henry hoover has changed and heā€™s now licking his lipsā€¦
(Oh and thanks for getting my little attempt at humour with my list - at least somebody got it).

I got it too Ash, I just don't have a vacuum extractor..... Like you and Phil I am amazed that bits you know you have lost never surface again, with me it's normally bushes... I have the kits still and I have turned some so where have the bushes gonešŸ¤¬šŸ¤¬....
