I've seen Vince fill the boxes, and picked up 'self-selected' a bag of them myself whilst over there. There's everything from small chunks to 130-150mm blank lengths. Of course each one is different depending on what he's cut up, also sometimes there are simply blanks that he's only got one or two of left in stock that aren't selling.

I've also found end pieces included which are the ends of mouldings which can't really be sold but can be perfectly usable if you avoid the pits/holes.. I did end up with some where the patterns aren't great so he wouldn't normally sell them, ie white stripes in a black blank where the stripes don't really go all the way through, a slimline would end up just black for instance.

Check his ebay shop too as they're occasionally up for auction cheaper than his site.

Like the see before you buy suggestion, thats a hundred of our pesos for rejects.

Peter.

They aren't really rejects Peter.
I've been there when Vince has been packing them up and they are very good value even if a "pot luck" purchase. he's sold loads of them. Has the Ozzie $ depreciated btw? Last time I looked it was around $1.60

Worth a punt imo Mark but Vince is well worth a visit if you can arrange it as he has loads of other blanks and kits, a genuine helpful and honest guy who's always happy to offer help and advice. He's been in the business a long time.

Thanks for the support you people have expressed for the deal I stand by buying if you can what you can see in person. Vince from all reports is a nice guy the original question was it good buying has been attested to by purchases of this special offer one priviliged to choose his own , a great way to buy. My term rejects refers to offcuts and shorts, ones with pits and holes inferring care in choice could be an advantage. Our dollar has had a rise recently Bob. I do notice plastic is dearer by far in the UK making this deal more favourable.Bobs suggestion supports my idea of a visit,Kevins suggestion of a visit,Gregs self selection.

Good luck with your choice Mark whether to buy or not.

Kind regards Peter.

A visit isn't always possible or financially viable Peter making a purchase unseen the only real option. In Marks case for example and without knowing his exact location he is probably a round trip of 200 miles and 4 hours.
That is of course nothing in Australia but a fair old trip over here  I've just driven 2600 miles in Canada over 23 days as part of my holiday and it was easy (as it has been on my visits to Oz), but I would think twice before doing that in the UK :rolling:

Sorry fellas distance is relative and I see not pleasant on a smallish Island with heaps of people. When faced with these choices phone a friend in the area. I noted with great interest how Paul and his new mate handled the purchase and delivery of his recent metal lathe. My comments are general, have to be all my travel in the UK was by bus, train, ferry and plane. Occasionally I dig deep Google world and in depth look at parts of the UK. Recently thanks to DNA testing I have found back to 1750 one other line in my ancestry they lived in Wiltshire. My grandfather on my Mums side is from this family our branch emigrated as free settlers to Australia in 1800,s. Our DNA has been sent in awaiting the results in our family it resulted in a perfect match for one of my sons in law enabling him to locate his Dad. As a minister of my religeon I performed the marriage service for our daughter at the time, this guy fronted up with two birth cerificates with a native of N Guinea tribal name and a european name,we now know only his mums tribal name is accurate he was married using the other name. To find recently his dad lived and passed away in the past few years living near them in Qld.

What I am saying is we form our opinions based on what we know and feel, makes the world go round.

Kind regards Peter.
