After some months of deliberating i have just pushed the button on buying a new chuck.

I was in a semi fortunate position of only having a small record power rp2000, which has served me well, but which the jaws dont fit anything else. In the end i chose the vicmarc vm100 because i like the look of the shark and pen jaw sets for what i do. it is slightly more expensive than the versachuck, but i have never heard a negative word against vicmarc equipment. The few free extras with the vicmarc close the price gap a little, and i would still have had to get the jaw screws with the versachuck, which I am told have to be genuine vicmarc for their jaws.

Wise man Mark my workshop overflows with Vicmarc products from both of the brothers in separate businesses, they learned their trade making Metsal Lathes making them a cut above the competition IMHO.
