hi
Need help with a with a chuck problem i have:sob:
my lathe head stocks thread is 24x1mm and the 3'' chuck i got of a friend for a very good price is 1'' 8tpi i also have the 3/4 adapter to fit. i have spent 2 days searching google and clicking on a good few hundred sites and still no luck:rant:
i thought it it would be possible to use a face plate to to have fixed to the back of the chuck. But said chuck has a rim at the exit of the thread hole maybe 5 mm tall. So that's not possible :vangry:
i was wondering or maybe praying that one of you fine folks have the equipment to make said adapter or know of someone that can do this kind of work?
i am willing to pay for your time and materials. Or maybe someone has better google skills than me
All help and suggestions will be gratefully received.

Keith
