I have taken delivery of a new lathe. Well new to me anyway I purchased it of Bill Mooney,s Grandson Lee.
Its a small Axminster variable speed wood lathe. It came with a chuck several tool rests and some other bits and pieces. Up to now I have been using a modified metal lathe. Im looking forward to getting it set up and having a go. Up to now I have been limited to making pens Im looking forward to bigger projects now I have wood lathe.

Enjoy your new lathe Dave.
Where's the pictures?
Alan

Its currently sitting on the floor of my workshop/shed I will set it up at the weekend and maybe take some pictures. I'm not very good with pictures. On a more positive note, I have sold 7 pens this week and donated 4 to charity. I have been asked to make some more pens and all this on a metal lathe so I'm hoping to up my game now I have a wood lathe.

Hi Bill I noticed Lee had some magnetic lamps to lighten up the workshop he said you would know where to purchase them. I could do with a couple my self.
Amazon or eBay. They are sewing machine led lights. You will probably have to fit a plug because they sometimes come with flat internal terminals.

I’m not a fan of the multi light LED’s so I got one of the single LED goose neck lamps from IKEA and it provides really good light.
