    Replacing Commpressor air line.

The airline that goes from the tank to the tank to the pressure switch burst, its easy to disconnect the line from the tank but under the pressure switch there appears to be a shroud covering the other end, is there any way to undo it with out removing the pressure switch.

The Compressor is a SIP Eagle 2.5hp

I had a similar problem with a customers compressor.
Only way I could fix it was to remove the pressure switch.
    Awkward but do-able

I removed the pressure switch the line was a push in, once it was removed it was easy to get out.

I replaced it with the one off the spare regulator and pressure switch I had that I wanted to use on the upright compressor project.

Once I had put it back together fired it worked beautifully a couple of cycles then the freaking line burst.

I guess the next step is to try to relplace it with a copper line?

First time it burst I was using an air chisel 10 - 12 hrs a day with hardly a break.
This time it is a quality chinese hose, previous one was Taiwanese.

Did you use one of those brass inserts that fit inside the pipe to give it a bit more strength near the fitting?

If you have a place near you that makes up hydraulic lines they could make a line to fit and give you the correct fittings for the tank and regulator. It might be the rigid lines are stressed when installed and the vibrations will make them crack. The hose will not be subject to the vibrations and medium pressure hose can easily handle the pressure many times over. I have one on my compressor in a different location.
