Torus hollow form bowl

From this to this Torus hollow form in Acer pseudoplatanus sycamore turned wet and dryed over a week
Finished size 9 1/4 x 3 1/4 sanded to 600 grit friction polish and waxed

Having seen this form before so know what they look like I think you have pulled it off with flying colours. Well done on the turning and finish.

There however is a fault with it and I would sack the cleaner as it looks like someone has left dust and shavings in the bottom:funny::funny::funny:

That is a cracker Barry, superbly carried out.
Never tried a doughnut dish meself but did help someone with the maths on one, they ain't so easy if you wanna specific size.
I love what you have achieved here mate well done init?

Time well spent Barry hard for me to get the concept from the pics from what I can see there is a trumpet shape in the middle as a technical exercise wonderful love the rounded outside shape what would you design it to hold? I know watch the doughnut not the hole. What is the shape underneath. There is no likelyhood of me wanting measurements to copy this finished making bowls never copied anyway.Derek indicated he had seen this form before. Wet and dry in over a week it must be thin or did you use some method like Paul on the Agar and boil it. It looked a brute green very fibrous but finished very smoothly.
