An oak bowl I have recently finished, size is 300mm diameter x 50mm thick, the finish is Danish oil.

That's the sort of item I think is just so tactile you just what to pick it up and hold it, feel it and think about the tree but also the work and effort that has gone into making it what is is now..:thumbs:

My house is full of other people work that I have picked up, mainly at brocante fairs in France for only a couple of euros, but that I love for all the above reasons..

One day the house will have my work in it to.

Heart of Oak indeed stout resistance to the years and weather .Tortured in the lathe opened up to face the world,scorched blistered and triumph where for so many reasons it could have blown apart.

Totally appropriate finish and display Andy, love it.
