Thought I would have another go at a piece of turning found what appeared to be a plain piece of ash in the woodpile, pleased with what I found inside. Finished with sander sealer and then put on my buffing system, I did add a coat of woodwax22 on top of that

I love the inclusion and the grain. What a well balanced bowl, full of character.
I wish I had your skill. Well done.

Cheers

Ash is one of my favorites. I love turning it and unfortunately because of the emerald ash bore there are LOTS of dead ash trees available here. Your bowl is a keeper. Nice job.

Thank you everyone. It is nice to find a piece of wood with a great grain pattern in it and I try to keep the form simple when I find grain like this.

Lovely Derek. Its amazing what one finds lurking in the wood pile. You have done a great job in revealing the beauty of nature before it would have been lost for ever.
