    Elm

Never turned Elm before. Here is the latest effort. Roman ogee bottem with a slightly concaved top. A simple style but I liked the grain.

Taken with my new camera. Hopefully these will be of a better quality or even the correct way up

    Nope, still upside down

    Cheers all

Nice bit of turning, Frederick, and a nice piece of elm.

Did you buy that camera in Australia?

    Hello John

Yep it has a manual but but nothing is mentioned on transfering photographs. I have even tried holding the camera upside down
Still I don't supose it matters that much.

    Cheers
    Frederick

Nice looking project, I haven't turned a lot of elm but CNC machined quite a bit, it is one of those types of wood that frustrate me. It either machines really nicely or is a nightmare for stringy bits & fuzzies. Still not figured out how to tell which way it will machine BEFORE utting it on the CNC lol

Simple is best with a grain pattern like this. It allows the grain to be the star.

Excellent and you have let the grain speak for itself. Nicely done.
