1st go at turning a square dish

I thought I would have a go at turning a square dish. It's not quite even though, but for a first effort it's not too bad.
The wood is Elm which I find difficult to work at times. It was very dry as it has been kicking around for a while.

More practising tomorrow and looking forward to it\

    Cheers

Good morning Peter (or evening in your part of the world)
Thank you for the kind words. I am not a fan of turning Elm. It’s a great looking wood but it seems very brittle to me, but probably due to me being a beginner.

    Thanks again

    Cheers
    Frederick

That is a nice bowl, Frederick, You say it is not even, do you mean that it tapers off to the corners then that is great as it looks good like that. You did a great job on the shape thickness and finish.
