    Ash bowl

I needed a break from some of the little jobs in the shed and needed to get my fix of turning.

Anyway turned this little bowl from some ash and a little coloured filler. Turned this with and undercut to match the outer shape.

    That's nice, Derek.
What is the coloured filler that you've used?

    Thank you Alan.

Ash is one of my favorites. It can be plain or spectacular in grain or color. Your piece shows some of the wild side. I love this shape. When you hook your thumb over the lip and pick it up it feels right. Well done Derek.

A lovely bowl Derek. I like the grain pattern & especially the undercut on the inside.

I tried to keep the inside flowing with the outside form luckily I keep a bowl gouge with quite a steep grind on it just for things like this
