    Burr in blue

Chestnut burr I have been working on. Stained with spirit stains and a gloss finish the edge is gilded with a chemically treated brass leaf giving the edge a brass copper look some little parts show the natural edge through the guiding adding to the piece.

Practice and knowing how far you dare push it. Sometimes you get started and just know it is not worth going any further

    Love it Derek.

Skil, expertise and artful eye i that by the bucket spades..

Certainly nice bit of turning, just makes the morning porridge a bit more of a challenge.
