    full pen kit or not?

Hi hope someone can help me, I'm going to start pen turning and I've been buying bits and pieces on line,I have Sierra kits, slimline kits, letter openers etc. I also purchased a lot of slimline kits with not too much pen in each of the bags. I've uploaded a pic of what's in each bag, I'm not sure if this is a complete pen, or if it is, how I should put it together! Thanks?

Looks like the upper tube, final clip, centre band is missing.

Are you sure it's a pen John and not a honey dipper?
    Kind regards John.

Looking at it there is a possibility that is all you get. You may have to drill a blank from one end only to the correct depth of the refill and a bit for the spring. Then glue the brass tube in turn the outside once finished the spring, refill are slid in and then the nib fitted on.
No way to retract but you may be able to make a cap.

If as above not really a kit to start with

And if that is not the case then you are a few bits missing of a pen.

Easy to simply drill and insert then use and forget.

It is one of the old closed end desk pens that would rest in a trumpet you used to make them on a screw on mandrel with tailstock support
