Both well presented, turned and finished Steve.Interesting to have Olive and Acrylic. The Melamine finish is revealing and smooth.

Thanks Peter! I followed Phil's advice to me at the end of last year re melamine and am more than pleased with the result. All my wood pens are finished that way now and everyone who has one of those pens loves the tactile finish.

I am still learning the techniques for turning acrylic... makes me pick up the skew!

Hi Steve, lovely pens. What do you use to photograph them and what is the surface, or do you use a light box or something?

Thanks Al!

No light box or complicated camera setup to be honest.... a bit "Heath Robinson" here most of the time!

I had some old A3 gloss photo paper lying around from years ago (bought in anticipation of getting larger printer - which never happened).

So I use a single sheet of that and my iphone No photoshop or fiddling with settings... just use natural light from a window.

Hope this helps.
