I am having trouble using the tailstock handwheel due to mussel problems with my hand, is there such a thing as a tailstock with a leaver. My lathe is a Jet.

Look at the Taig Lathe that is how the Tail Stock is used. Not a biggie to convert, if you do be sure to cushion the lever or sure as it could give you a hurry up when you come in close while turning.

Another way is to drill and tap and fit the wheel with an outsized swivel handle.

Have success ................Peter.
