Jr. Gents in acrylic.
Trying to get the hang of turning acrylic on the wood lathe as I no longer have a metal lathe done this using a roughing gouge and then a bullnose scraper best result so far,
Anyone who can give me a few tips I would be grateful

Lovely pen, like the blank.

For acrylics, and this is me, I rough out with whatever gouge comes to hand first, and then use my skew for the final cut, very carefully and I get a decent finish with few chatter marks.

Then I use wet and dry through to 2000 grit (probably don't need to go that high, but I enjoy this bit) and then T-Cut.

If I feel a blank is particularly fragile, I'll leave some extra on and do some more wet sanding with 240 grit to get the final shape, just in case!

That's me anyway!
