Desk pen trumpet query.

Hi youngins I've came across a wee bitty problem. Months ago I bought a pen trumpet and have now started to turn the base and have prepared
the blank ready to turn. On closer inspection I've found that a normal slimline nib is too big to fit into the trumpet. Is there a special kit for a desktop pen?

ps can't remember where i bought the trumpet. Have searched in the archives and the trumpets on there seem to be bigger.

The trumpets that I had only take the slimline but I found sometimes if the pen is not put in correctly the nib catches on a little rim down the bottom

Derek the nib doesn't go into the trumpet, the first part will enter but the top won't.

Hi Derek, You might find this useful. In this months Woodturning magazine (July) there is a whole project with plans and sizes to make a desk pen using a Streamline kit.

There are many sizes in trumpets, shapes, fixing methods.
