Cheryle and I (after 15 years together) are to get married on the 2nd of November.

If I ever get an hour away from work, eat, sleep between now and then I would like to turn a pen for the signing or at least photos of signing of the register.

I have spoken to the registrar today about the legalities over ink and basicly it can be a any fountain pen as long as its empty and then we can dip it into thier special ink and jobs a goodun.

So any suggestions for a nice kit and how I can find the time to get to the lathe would be very much appreciated.

Congratulations Ed.

I`ll leave recommending a pen kit to those more experienced in such things, just to say I hope you both have a great day & a very happy marriage.

Congratulations Ed.
I can feel a competition coming on. How about lads we make a pen for him to choose from?
And present it to them as a weeding gift.
I have to say I would go all day long with what Ed has posted that is surely a cracker.
And I believe I have done same in the past but not sure I have the kits for one now.

A big congrats to the both of you Ed, what took you so long? :love_it:

I would go along with what Terry says regarding the Roman Harvest, well you only have to look at Ed's pen i don't believe there is another pen to match for this occasion .. :bwink:

If you do decide to go with this pen and feel you wont have the time to get one in time i have a Rhodium with Black Titanium Accents Fountain Pen, that i could post to you if needed ... :bwink:

Wow.......thank you so mush for all your kind offers!

I don't think I could except such an expensive kit for free. It would also make me feel terrible if I didn't have chance to finish it or cocked it up!

This has been on the lathe since I got back from holiday in early August

............and that's as far as I've got.

I'll take a look later and see if I can source a kit from the UK and indeed whether I realistically have the time/experience to do it justice. If I can do it but can't get one, would it still be OK to take one of you gents up on your offer but to pay you what you paid for it plus postage or swap for some blanks or something?

Again thank you for your genorosity, I really am quite overwelmed!

Congrats to you both, just make sure that the honetmoon is near a wood market in somewhere useful like Mexico!!

In terms of a special fountain pen, hows about a nouveau sceptre, its a lovely pen, or at least I think so! Jim Kerins sells them PenCrafts.co.uk
