This is my latest Slimline to Longwood conversion chrom kit in Irish Yew and African Blackwood finished with one coat cellulose laquer and Carnuba wax

I like it Ian one thing worries me the long part of the pen what will be supporting the wood as it seems that part of it will have no tube in it when you open it up to put a refill in

That's how I did all my one piece slimlines in the past dad, never had a problem they still work well and never collapsed.
The tube is still in there to support the outside but just not glued init?

Hi Woody the long part of the pen on this and the longwood kit both have a section of the long blank unsupported however once the pen is assembled it is supported by the nib end tube. Using streamline size bushings the unsupported part of the blank is quite thick and strong

Thank you Ian that put that one to sleep I may have a go at one or two for my Christmas stall
