Might as well have been a b****y water festival. Went to the worst craft fair I've been to in three years. Found that the organisers had advertised it through Groupon, and the people who were there couldn't afford the tv licence so had come out for something to do. What a waste of time. About two on Sunday it started to rain and the ground was already saturated. At the height of the downpour there was three inches of water flowing through the tent in front of my stand!

The carpet in this part of the tent was actually floating on a sludge of mud and water, and if you look carefully you can see that the water is actually flowing!

Upside was that I set myself a challenge to see how many pens I could turn during the day as I had my demo lathe with me. 24 Streamlines and 16 Slimline stylus pens!

Jeez mate, that sounds like a downer! Well done for finding the bright side - I hope you threw all your sawdust in that river and let the organisers clean it up ...

Wow, hope that wasn't too much of a hit in the pocket.

Sounds like one to miss for next year.

Least you got some stock made though. 40 pens! That's a full time week for me :funny:

Sorry about the wash-out, Neil. OK, you did take some dosh but there are better conditions under which to work, right? Let's hope the next one is better.
