Morning (and afternoon, evening and night) all,

Going to be heading down to the shop in the next couple of days after a prolonged absence due having had the dreaded lurgy (kindly shared by my good lady).
I am finally going to be turning myself a pen I have a gorgeous Dan Pompe worthless wood blank to go in to an equally gorgeous Mistral rollerball kit. when ordering it I also ordered my self the accent ring bushings and really fancy having a go at turning these and the phinial too.
Does anyone have any hints and tips and pictures of the results??

Thanks Again

Andy

I did Phil and it certainly seems easy enough but there is nothing better than experience!!
I haven't managed to find pictures of pens with turned accents though are they a rarity?

Hi Andy,
I made a pen for myself, many moons ago. I turned the ring and cabochon from the same wood used in the body of the pen. The wife done the pyrography on the ring.

I just posted one as a new pen. I didn't use the bushings told by Phil, only because I didn't have them...and then I got it in my head that I own some digital calipers! I made them taking measurements of the parts supplied with the kit.

It was seeing yours that prompted me to ask if anyone had done it!
