I have been asked to make a desk set for a 60th and am looking for a pen trumpet that will take a larger pen. Does anyone make these? They all seem to be for slimline type pens.
The lady want a three piece set I was thinking maybe Pen, paper clip magnetic bowl and letter opener. What things would you all suggest?:thinks:

Why not just make either a small stand on a wooden base or a groove to take the pne tha other items can also be attched to the base. There is also a large paper clip which is used to hold cards or paper

You could make your own trumpet out of the same material as the desk stand. You could incorporate the swivel base of standard pen trumpet to fix it to the base. A little bit of thought & it’s easily done, I’ve done it before.

I always look for a persons interests ,hobbies etc,use a coin maybe of the birth year. I totally prefer using grooves to house a pen rather than a trumpet that can marr the surface of the pen and tip. Just a couple of gifts i have made.

Peter.
