this is a slow burning project. I need a kit that is as straight as possible- ideally the barrel will have bushings that are the same size each end and the cap the same size each end. I need at least 1mm of wood in thickness when turned.

Any suggestions? the alpha might work, but I don't know how much taper is on it and how thin it gets.

First one that comes to mind Mark is the Shakespeare, straight end to end, albeit with a larger cap diameter. Pretty sure it's at least 1mm of material but I don't have one in bits to measure atm.
