Hope you all had a good Christmas.

A few months ago I turned the bodies for a couple of Empress kits. It was my first time trying to use x cut blanks. I had no real issues and put them away to make some other pens that people asked for as gifts. Yesterday I decided to finish the pens and noticed that in both pieces, hairline cracks have appeared. One of them I can get my finger nail in. The problem I have is I over cut them to try Les Elms dipping finish, so I don't have much to play with. I have sanded using CA but it hasn't quite sorted the problem!!!
Does anyone know where I can get spare tubes for this kit?? As I can't find them on the Interweb.

Regards

Craig

Yep, I agree with Graig. I have been to Axminster several time for pen spares. They have always helped me.
Hope you sort the problem,

Cheers,
Frederick

How devastating Craig my absolute preference is cross cut,I am ruthless with blanks they either measure up or in the bin.

I think the Empress requires 37/64" drill bit which is around 14.6mm. The majestic is iirc 15mm?
I agree about Axminster though, very helpful when needing spares.

Hi Craig
I have 3 sets of Empress Tubes if you want them. PM me and we'll arrange a meet. I also think Spring Blossom tubes from Timberbits are the same size.
Kind regards
Ian
