Asked a few questions on different sites about polyurethane dipping. Seamed like it was it wasn't for me.
Sooo decided to get bits I needed and !Do it my way!
It may be done like this by others but just went for it.
Firstly got the white decal waterslide no good no good for the 2 jobs in mind.
Then got the clear, perfect and easy to use.
Pen blank turned to size, sanded to 4000.
Denatured
1 run of thin CA
Quick 4000
Decal sized on photoshop 2 printed 1 as backup:thumbs:
Left it 1/2 hour to dry cut excess off
2 sprays of chestnut acrylic gloss lacquer. Works for me seals the inkjet ink great.
I left it 3hrs
Next on with the waterslide decal. I snip all 4 corners at 45° works for me,goes on better.
Once in place and happy, another 3 hours and on the lathe 3 coats of this CA then 4 coats of medium CA.
Followed by at mico mesh and then auto glym.
