Eliot Pen Kits

Has anyone had experience of making these?

I ordered a couple of kits, have made one up. It's a lovely looking pen, save for the white marks, which are my fault.

But the mechanism keeps sticking. Should steer clear of click mechanism pens I guess....

It looks like a copy of the Dayacom click one!

Not made one of those kits but TBH most of the low end kit clicks are poor.

Ones I find Best are the Tempest (had a few now and sold and never had one back as a failure ) PSI vertex (not a copy, as there are plenty out there) and that’s about it..

The new TM Pratchett looks promising however early days to see how reliable the click mechanisms are! But they look well made and are British engineering I believe.

As above,..... there have been very few decent clicker pens... Personally I have only used the Vertex or Beaufort inks Tempest, both have a very good track record and proven quality. Taylors Mirfield have just started producing a stainless clicker, the Pratchet and PSI have the EDC both appear to have a good mech, I have yet to try/ trial either...
