I found some veneer on the web as I wanted to use wood as the inserts rather than plastic cards. Did have some issues and had to do some repair work on the knot, now hidden, mostly, by the clip. Tried as I said in another thread to polish 6 coats of sanding sealer with micofine - that did not work so as an experement gave it 1 coat of French polish buffed with kitchen towel. Wood is Paduk inserts are Oak and a black wood I can't identify. I forgot to twist the ballpoint all the way back before photographing - senior moment :rolling:padpen1 (1 of 1).jpg
