If you had a spare £120 (Chrimbo prezzie cash) which of these 2 would you prioritise?

The drill press would only get used for pen blanks and the buffing kit for pens and bowls

I personally wouldn't bother with a drill press if you are only going to do one thing with it, when you already have something in the workshop to do just that. Save the space for another tool.

The buffing system can be used for many things, not just pens or bowls.

I have a drill press but not a buffing system, would I replace the press? Heck yes.... I wouldn't /couldn't be without it and I have a few cordless drills too:wink::wink:

I made my choice because I do more than pen turn so get most value from the drill press, but I may get another lathe at some point…. However I’ll already have the press :thumbs:
