If you use CA, that’s great. If you use PU, that’s great. I don’t!

I use epoxy.

The most economical and best consistency in my opinion is this stuff:

It’s in the middle of Lidl today but don’t try the Letchworth store after about ten as there won’t be any left! I need about fifty tubes. I prefer the yellow, it doesn’t clog the disc sander nearly as much as others.

I agree. PU is far too messy and goes off in the bottle too quickly. Thick CA is ok but can be a bit brittle. Some manufacturers are now making rubberised CA which seems to work well but it’s often expensive.

I’ve personally not noticed any difference between cheap or expensive Epoxy. They all seem to work well for my applications.

For the few pens that I turn nowadays I tend to reach for the two part epoxy but still manage to get it all over myself:face::face::face:

You’re getting old Phil! The memory is going. Never used that stuff, to be honest wouldn’t even know what it looks like! I’ve always used epoxy, tried PU for about 20pens and gave up with the mess and tubes being ejected.

My post was not advocating the pros and cons of epoxy, PU, CA or any other styles of adhesive, purely to highlight a source of good but cheap glue. Unfortunately it was perceived as a pro epoxy post and started a mini poll of what others used - that wasn’t the intention.
