I haven't posted any of my pens for a while, but I bought some Tiger Rengas blanks from Dave Hilton ( lignaterrae ) and he asked to see what it looked like when finished. So, I made this one...it's only very short, as I used a 5 inch blank, but is a very striking wood. Finished with Morrells Spray Lacquer.

Lovely Melanie, that finish looks stunning. I was having a poke around the Morrells site and they seem to over a vast range of finish options in different sheen levels. Which one did you use there?

Thanks everyone!

Greg, that was the 90% gloss. Dries really quickly and is easy to apply. I've been searching for a decent finish which isn't a huge pain to apply (bear in mind I have to do my finishing in two halves - hold the tail and coat the head, then hold the head and coat the tail, etc) and this one so far has the best finish to least effort ratio!
