Many years ago I was given a one off access to an abandoned Olive Grove, the trees had been polled at about 8 feet, infested with ants in a drought time. I cut a trailer load brought them home from about 3 hrs away. Grain was fickle but loved this blank.

Great work Peter. Didn't you make a similar one to that a while back? I seem to remember that was lovely too.
Thanks Phil.

Been making them for many years now , this kit I felt was just made for a hex blank. Been using Olive from all over the world, never cease to marvel at the variations in colour and grain.I have found drying it slowly over years keeps the integrity and texture sound.
Accompanying this pen it became apparent it was time to clean the Dust Extraction, modify equipment, turned into a few days.

Peter.
