Another commission. The customer didn't want a clip that looked kike a gun - I can't say I blame him - so some may remember I was asking around a while ago about bullet pens that the clip could be removed. Between us, the customer and I eventually plumped for an Over and Under (its a PSI kit from Turners Retreat) and I set about taking it apart to remove the supplied clip, which is hideous, and replace it with a different one. Luckily I have a few kicking around the place to choose from.

The hardware needed to be modified with the careful use of a file and the clip gasket had to be modified too, but this is the result. The cap is turned from red ebonite, and the barrel is turned from part of a reclaimed whisky cask. Not my idea of a fine writing instrument - it's vast and heavy, but I wasn't the one paying the bill, and the customer is delighted, so is my bank manager.

Superb looking pen Phil, well executed and finish is spot on.

But if Walter had any input to making it I can see why it's a top end pen tho Phil..:funny:

About the best picture you have shown us to date. Accomplished pen in keeping with the kit used and presented. The clip is a masterstroke and I see from your comments retirement is in the offing from this one pen.

Peter.

Belter Phil, I really like the clip and red ebonite.
I'm not a fan of the original clip, you could shift your "replacement" commercially Im sure!!!
