Well done Graham, you do realise its like your first Kiss don't you..!

One you will never forget and one that you will always be willing to try at again and again...:funny:

Congratulations you have now entered in to the unknown and you will have the bug to get another one done.. Your family will knick everyone you do and you will be forever buying pen kits and tools.. Well that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.. :winking:

Seriously, well done. Keep it and look back on it in a couple of years time.

Thanks everyone, considering the comedy of errors it turned out good.
I have another 4 slimline pen kits and a couple of wood and acrylic blanks, but am looking to order a few more kits just not sure what one to get !!!
Have just ordered the sanding sealer and melamine finish to try out a different finish.

Like riding a bike ,daunting at first, so many bits and pieces to consider. Nice to get it done and now you will look at design either skinny or full on the threshold of this great hobby. Pictures will follow this path. Graham thanks for sharing your first fine effort.

Great first pen. You are a member of a great forum, that will help you every step of the way. I'm fairly new to it all, but I recommend you take the time to read through a few old posts. It's amazing what you can learn. Don't be afraid to ask, because someone will be able to assist. Top job on your first pen.

Regards

Craig

Great first pen mate, I am pretty new to pen turning too and found that trying different kits from different suppliers helped and you soon what you like and what you don't.
