Just to add to the interest around Black Palm

I made this one - with X cut Black Palm a couple of weeks ago.
I chose the wood/grain to particularly match with this Antique Bronze 'Art Deco' style kit - which I think works quite nicely.

Good looking, the black palm goes well with the kit.
X cut certainly makes a difference.

Thanks Peter - I chose it because of the cross-cut and the effect that it would add - not the easiest of wood to work with (though I usually find that I go for the more difficult hard to work with pieces!)

They go well together, like that, great work too in turning the x-cut black palm, I hear a lot of folk saying the normal cut is hard to turn let alone the x-cut!!!!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:
