Well after a long time away from pens.. had a day of firsts today..

First time trying to turn a modified pen using a slimline kit & first time using iridescent paints on a pen blank!

Had some very plain tulip wood so thought... why not?

Difficult to get good pictures showing the differences on the surface as the light travels over it.

Pleased with the experiment and learned loads in the process!!!

Finding a new way to play worked so well Steve. We all worry about the strength of the outer surface.I think you showed your pen to us in the best way possible deep colours are hard to show..For number one it is a credit to you, smooth painting and a wonderful pen.

Peter.
