Also managed this one too.

Sanded to 600 then sanding sealer, melamine finish and a coat of microcrystalline wax buffed with a soft cloth.

I know what you mean but it was a quick photo before I went in from the shed, will have to find a nice prop to set them off!!

Another lovely pen Graham, That’s another wood I love to work with, Bocote. The pen looks at its best already, with or without the inconspicuous stand IMHO. :drool::drool:

Love Bocote it is striking with its slight twisted grain and definition. Not an easy wood to coax through the finishing mastered by you Grahah. Forthright and proud pen mate.
