Very nice. How do you turn the blank like that with the closed end.

I have a closed end pin chuck that fits the body tube, I think it came from pencrafts. The top end I use a closed end 12.5mm pin mandrel and leave the tube out of the blank. I could do with trying to source a proper sized pin chick for that. It seems to work for me but I have to be careful not to shatter the thin wood on the cap side with no tube in it. I have also done it using a normal mandrel pushed deep into my collet chuck and the tailstock supporting the other end, though this is more awkward.
