Still have no clue what this wood is but I'm enjoying making a few pens with it.
This is my first fairly successful attempt at a CA finish.

Please feel free to give me any hints and tips for CA finishing. All I did was 3 coats of thin, 2 of thick then sanded from 600 to 3600 and hit it with Mothers plastic polish.
Cheers,
Steve.

Why on earth is that pen upside down? anyway, Steven, that is a good looking pen. I personally would never use think CA on pens, just thin and medium. A couple of thin, then anything from three to ten coats of medium.
After applying the CA, I would never use sandpaper, just Micro mesh. But of course, everybody has their own methods.
I hope that helps.
