SS Pegu Burmese Teak salvaged wood

The history of this wood is amazing. The ship, SS Pegu was carrying this Burmese teak from Rangoon to Liverpool to be used in the fortification of heavy gun emplacements in France and Belgium. The ship was torpedoed by a German U-boat U57, under the command of Carl-Siegfried Ritter von Georg on 8th July 1917, 7 miles south east of Galley Head in Ireland. About 80 tonnes of this teak wood was salvaged in 2011, from the wreak of the SS Pegu, 80 metres under sea water.
When turning it, the smell, well, one would not want to bottle it!
