Another Pine Cone with the seed pods filled with powder, on a gunmetal Streamline from Timberbits.

Love the cone, pen turned and finished beautifully but not sure about the powder I'm afraid.

Sorry.

Don't be, I agree with you, it's a luminous powder which glows in the dark and I wanted to try it, but the idea was better than the results, back to the drawing board:thinks:

I like the powder as something different. I wouldn't want to see it on lots of pens but now and again, different like this is good in my opinion and the girls are guaranteed to love it

Probably would look better with brass or gold.

Peter

Maybe, its not always the case but it would be good to see it all the same, and also some brown calcite stone might set it off.

Another beauty Peter I think one of the best effects on a pen up there with all the expensive burrs but I have to agree metal powder will look better but you never know unless you give it a try so well done for trying then on the other hand my Violet loves it so there has to be a market for the pink I cant wait to turn mine

I like that Peter..

Yes the pink shows up but being different is what its all about..

I don't think Gold would look right with that kit, I think if it was Gold you would need a Gold fittings kit TBH.

But I like it the way it is...

It works for me also, but only because you haven't gone overboard with the powder, but as said without trying these things how do we know how they would look .. Great shape and finish Peter ..

Yes, if I had used gold or brass then I would have used a gold kit, I think it would work well.
