Painted Figureless Cherry

Gees, was it warm today but managed to do a couple of pens .. This is a piece of figureless Cherry on a gold plated slimline kit, turned to shape and then rubbed down with Brown water based oil paint, lightly sanded and then finished with friction polish and waxed ...

Nice one, Jim. Never heard of figureless cherry before ... :thinks:

It is my own expression David, meaning it would be a waste of time making a pen from this piece of wood as it was, because it had no grain pattern what so ever ... :ciggrin:
